A Goff Wedding

Sunday 31st July 2022

Zoe and Andrews wedding, held at the beautiful Crowcombe Court.

This is the first wedding I have attended here and I see why they choose it.

hidden amongst the quantock hills, Somerset its has the most natural perfect setting for a beautiful summer wedding.

Zoe and Andrew

I first met Zoe and Andrew years ago at fellow Young Farmer Events. When Zoe first contacted me about their wedding in 2021. (If you know me you'll know) I was beyond excited to get this message from her.

To be trusted enough by someone you know as their wedding photographer is such an honour, yet a little bit nerving to.

We met a few months before their wedding to catch up, find out about their plans and have photos taken. I can't believe how easily they settled in to being in front of the lens.

Zoe was clever and planned her MUA taster before we met. such a great idea, meant she could capture what she make look like on her wedding day.

Wedding Morning

I arrived around 10am, to start capturing detail shots including Zoe's dress.

invite, jewellery, rings, Shoes (her treasured converses) and flowers.

What I love about Crowcombe is they have both a bridal suite (hidden away from prying eyes) and Gallery room, where the boys can have a game of pool, get ready together and relax before the ceremony.

Summery Sunflowers

You may well have noticed the theme of Zoe and Andrews wedding. That's correct its sunflowers Zoe favourite colour and flower.

There were sunflowers everywhere and they looked incredible.

from the tables, bouquets, cake to shoes and brides jacket. It brightened up and initially damp day giving it that spark of colour.

Beautiful colour combination

The Time to say "I do"

Andrew and Zoe were planning on getting married out in Crowcombe's beautiful gardens. However, the weather had other plans. Keeping it just damp enough until 1 hour before the ceremony so that this had to be held indoors.

Luckily The Great Hall was ready prepared. It was just perfect adding intimacy and class.

Wedding full of Laughter

Some ceremonies carry emotions, Zoe and Andrews carried laughter. Laughter with tears no less, it was infectious to all in the room.

I wouldn't have expected anything less though from the bride, groom, family and friends. It was the perfect start to day of smiles and further laughs.

Welcome Mr and Mrs Goff

Don't know about anyone else but confetti is a favourite moment of mine. You can't help but just smile, whether you're the Bride and Groom being attacked or the guests throwing. It's the first moment since the ceremony I feel you can have fun as one massive group, no matter the hiccups that occur it's always a fun moment for all.

Group Photos

I absolutely understand the need for those family photos, but I do love mixing it up and adding in some fun, be it from picking up the bride and grooms, to smoke grenades to add another dynamic.

exactly what we did with Zoe and Andrews "I do" crew.

Bride Tribe

I love this idea of getting all your girlfriends at the wedding into one photo.

The love sign looked great in front of all the girls.

Mr and Mrs Goff

Meet the newly wedded Zoe and Andrew Goff.

We went off for a moment to capture photos of the two of them and for me to let them have a moment together.

safe to safe Andrew was the happiest person on the planet that day. So much so even tears appeared.

Wedding Breakfast set up.

Take and look at how Zoe and Andrew set up the wedding breakfast room.

Fabulous idea to utilise the centre piece into sweet carts, acting as the favours too.

each name place has a sweet bag with their names on!

meaning you can fill those bags ready for later if you get peckish.

Pre Breakfast sing along

That time between the ceremony and wedding breakfast can be be slow for some. Zoe and Andrew found a way to combat this.

Get a musician to entertain all the guests, whilst they were busy with myself having their photo taken (just one more time).

A beautiful Cake

How simple but beautiful is this cake.

I had pride of place in the great hall throughout the day, from the ceremony right up until it was cut in the evening.

Speeches

Time for speeches or in Andrew and Zoe's case, the time to wish they hadn't messed up so many times as children and adults.

I don't have much more to say about what was said, for the safety of all, however, the photos will tell you Mr and Mrs Goff's speakers highlighted some of there best moments growing up.

Sun is setting

Speeches are over, the guests have gotten their breath back, the evening guests have started to arrive.

This was a perfect opportunity to grab Zoe and Andrew for 5 minutes peace and quiet, admiring the day they've had so far.

Party time

Evening guests have arrived, it's time to party but first lets cut the cake.

the dance floor is down underneath Crowcombe court.

a perfect setting for a band to play their sound.
